What is Organizational set up of Staff Welfare Organization

Staff Welfare Organization is an attached department of Establishment Division headed by Director General and its Head office at Islamabad. There are 05 Regional Offices of the organization functioning at Islamabad, Lahore, Karachi, Quetta & Peshawar.

What are the target groups/clientele of Staff Welfare Organization

The Federal Government Employees and their dependents are the target groups of the Organization.

Staff Welfare Services fall in four broad categories, such as:

What is Stipend Award?

It is a financial assistance provided to the children of serving, retired, and deceased Federal government Employees studying in class V to onward in various Federal Government/Recognized Institutions.

When the stipend is awarded to the applicant?

Stipend is awarded to the applicant in the month of March of each year.

What is the proper way for availing Stipend Award?

The prescribed application forms with eligibility criteria can be obtained from each regional office from September to November each year.

What is the procedure of payments sanctioned out of Federal Staff Relief Fund?

a)         Cheques are issued in the name of DDO of concerned Ministries/Divisions/Departments for onward distribution to the applicant.

b)         In the case of death of Government servants, the payments are always made to the families of the deceased Government servants on the spot.

How one can apply for the Federal Staff Relief Fund?

Prescribed application form for grant of relief fund are available at Regional Offices of Staff Welfare Organization. The applicant can apply on these forms through their respective Ministries/Divisions/Departments.

How to apply and to whom?

Prescribed application forms are available in all the Regional Offices of Staff Welfare Organization at Islamabad, Karachi, Lahore, Peshawar and Quetta.

When applications are invited and who are eligible for this scheme?

Application forms are received throughout the year in the above Regional Offices. Only those in service Federal Government Employees drawing their salaries through AGPR are eligible.

What type of documents is required with application?

Following documents are required:

1.             Copy of National Identity Card

2.             Medical Certificate issued by Medical Officer of Federal Govt. Hospital/Dispensaries.

3.             Audio Gram (In case of Hearing Hardness)

 

Copy of dependent NIC (in case aid is required for dependent).

What is the purpose of establishing the Ladies Industrial Homes?

It is with a purpose to impart vocational training to the female employees of the Federal Government and other women enabling them to earn their livelihood in a respectful manner and to supplement the family income which ultimately raise the financial position of the family.

Who can seek admissions in these Ladies Industrial Homes?

Female Federal Government Employee and their dependents can seek admissions. Moreover, employees of Provincial Government/Autonomous Bodies/Semi Autonomous Bodies are also consider for admissions subject to availability of seats.

What is the fee for the short courses?

a)            The fee for computer courses of two months is Rs..400/-  per course and for the courses of beautician and cooking is Rs..300/- per course. It is also for two months duration.

b)            Rs. 10/- is charged for special short courses ranging for 5 to 10 days duration.

What is training opportunities does Ladies Industrial Home offer to its beneficiaries?

a)            Vocational Training for two years and one year duration is imparted in various disciplines as per syllabus of the respective Provincial Board of Technical Education for Diploma and Certificate Course.

b)            Short Course in Computer, beautician, thread work, Mirror Work, Flower making and cooking are also arranged for the benefit of the trainees.

Is there any facility provided in Ladies Industrial Homes for stitching and designing of the dresses and garments?

Yes, Training in dress designing, Cutting and sewing is provided

Are there any fixed rates charged for the purpose?

Yes rates are fixed, however these are cheaper than the market rates.

Provision of Material/Stuff  is the responsibility of the client themselves.
