Mr. Shahid Ali Khan , Director General
Mr. Shahid Ali Khan, Director General, Establishment Division, Staff Welfare Organization received his schooling and college education from Cadet College Kohat. After this, he went to Edwardes College Peshawar where he did his graduation in the subjects of Physics, Math and Statistics. He then went to University of Peshawar where he did his post-graduation degree in Statistics. He was awarded AusAID Scholarship (2012) to do his M.S. in Development Studies at University of Melbourne, Australia.
He has held various administrative positions in the province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (former NWFP) and Federal Government. In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, he worked as Assistant Director (BS-17) in Education Department. In 2005, on the recommendations of FPSC, he entered into the service of Federation of Pakistan as Assistant Educational Advisor (BS-18) in the defunct Ministry of Education. While serving in Ministry of Education, he carried out several development projects in education sector. In the backdrop of 18th Constitutional Amendment, the Ministry of Education among other ministries were devolved to provinces in the year, 2011; consequently, his services were placed at the disposal of Establishment Division, Staff Welfare Organization (SWO). In SWO, he worked as Chief Welfare Officer and Deputy Director (Admn) in BS-18 for many years. He in the capacity of Director (A&F) and Director (I,M&E) in BS-19 headed the administrative and management wings of SWO with the style Admin. & Finance and Implementation, Monitoring & Evaluation respectively. He has vast experience in the areas of human resource development, framing of recruitment rules, defining regulations and policies for welfare schemes as well as other allied matters of government business.
